Don Baker holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Kansas. His professional background includes intercollegiate athletics and cable television. For 10 years he served as sports information director and assistant director of athletics at his alma mater and then served seven years as vice-president of marketing of Tulsa Cable Television, at that time the 12th largest cable system in the country. He began working with pageant contestants in 1989 and launched Don Baker Communications in 1991. He now literally works from Honolulu and Los Angeles to New York and Boston and Seattle to Miami and nearly 40 major cities in between with pageant contestants and corporate and professional people.
